Wedding Number One

This summer is proving to be the summer of weddings for the Hollands. I think by the end of the summer we will have danced the night away at 4 different weddings! And what is so exciting for us is that these aren't just the weddings of random cousins or old family friends, it's the weddings of some of our dearest an best friends. We love weddings- they are like mini reunions of old friends, and they are always full of good food, dancing and laughter. The BEST combo!

For the Fourth of July weekend we were able to make the journey to Chicago for our first wedding of the summer. This is also the only wedding that involves travel in which both of us were just guests and not in the wedding. And after a rainy andtreacherous  journey (hydroplaning and the hotel loosing our reservation) we were  able  to relax and enjoy our mini vaca! It was a fun time of celebrating Seth and Tamara (Seth was Matt's best friend in high school and one of the groomsmen in our wedding) and checking out Chicago!

Hubs gearing up for the 10 hour drive to the Windy City!

Hanging out at the Rehearsal Dinner- complete with a river cruise on a party boat! The Vaughn's really know how to get down!

Hello Bean!

Classic reflection photo-op.

Here we are, in front of the Bean.

Lake Michigan, ladies and gents.

A trip to Chicago is not complete without a Chicago dog- my favorite!

Of course the happy couple- look at Seth fist bumping. So happy for our sweet friends!

At the end of the day, we were happy to come home to this little cutie.

beginnings.

I really love marriage.

I love coming home each night to my main squeeze, Matt, and our cutie pooch, Molly Regis.
Everything is so new - being married for almost 8 months, everything is exciting, joyful and an obvious picture of how deeply the Father loves us! What an adventure - what a GIFT!

Being in Chattanooga while we have family and friends all over the States (and the world) I thought it would be fun to start a blog to document the adventures, the fun and the challenges that comes from this new life we are sharing. Expect silly stories, pictures of the pup (lots of pictures of the pup), and a glimpse into our life wherever the Father takes us.

with love,
Crystal
